Madeleine Albright disses Trump over Homeland Security upheaval
Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright took a jab at President Trump amid the upheaval at his Department of Homeland Security.
Albright tweeted in responses to Trump’s recent comments proclaiming the country “full” and unable to take more migrants amid the departure of DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen.
Our country isn’t full, and ironically Homeland Security is empty. https://t.co/a3BBolNXN5

The departure of Nielsen, who repeatedly found herself at odds with the president over border policy, reportedly comes after Trump told border patrol agents to break the law and block migrants from entering the country.
{mosads}Trump tapped Kevin McAleenan, the commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, to lead the agency on an acting basis.
It was also reported Monday that White House adviser Stephen Miller has been pushing for two other top DHS officials, Director of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services Lee Cissna and general counsel John Mitnick, to be dismissed.
Trump is also removing U.S. Secret Service Director Randolph “Tex” Alles.
This is not the first time that Albright, who served as secretary of State under former President Bill Clinton, has criticized the Trump administration.
She has been harshly critical of Trump on immigration, suggesting earlier this year that she might consider him a “fascist” over his decision to declare a national emergency at the border to secure funding for his proposed border wall.
“[Trump is] certainly anti-democratic, and I say so in the book, but I don’t call him a fascist because he isn’t violent,” Albright said in a February interview promoting her new book, “Facism: A Warning.”
“If he ends up declaring an emergency at the border over immigration, then I might change my position,” she said at the time.
