“Today, three motorcycle officers from local law enforcement were injured in an accident while traveling with the President’s motorcade. All three are being treated for injuries at a nearby hospital and are in stable condition,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement.

Jennifer Jacobs of Bloomberg, who is traveling with Trump to Louisiana, posted photos on social media that showed an officer next to his motorcycle turned over on the highway. She reported that she saw three officers down along the interstate, including two who appeared to be bleeding.

Louisiana State Police referred requests for comment to Lake Charles City Police, who were unable to provide additional information as of early Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred as Trump traveled from Chennault International Airport in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Cameron LNG Export Terminal in Hackberry, about 30 miles away.
