President Biden will travel to Silicon Valley to raise money for his reelection campaign later this month, according to an invitation to a fundraiser obtained by The Hill.
Biden will be in Los Altos Hills, Calif., on Feb. 22 for a reception hosted by Robert Klein, Danielle Guttman Klein and Steve Westly. Tickets for the event start at a $6,600 donation to the Biden Victory Fund and go up to $100,000 for hosts, $50,000 for co-hosts and $25,000 for an “advocate.”
The president has traveled to the Democratic-friendly San Francisco Bay Area multiple times over the past year. Westly, a former state controller, hosted a fundraiser for him in June at his home in Atherton, while the president was on a fundraising swing in the area. Klein is a housing developer.
While in California later this month, Biden is expected to also visit Los Angeles for a fundraiser at the home of Haim Saban on Feb. 20, the Los Angeles Times reported. Biden visited Los Angeles on Saturday for a campaign event in Bel Air.
The president traveled to San Francisco in November for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, a high-stakes meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and a campaign fundraiser in the city’s Financial District. First lady Jill Biden traveled to the Bay Area in January for fundraisers.
The Biden campaign declined to comment when asked about the Feb. 22 fundraiser.
Biden spent Wednesday at campaign stops in New York City. The campaign announced last month it has $117 million on hand, which aides say is the largest sum for any Democratic candidate in history at this point in the race. It raised more than $97 million in the fourth quarter of 2023.
