PGA pro John Daly shares photo with Trump at New Jersey golf club
Professional golfer John Daly posted a photo on social media late Monday that appeared to show him golfing earlier in the day with President Trump in Bedminster, N.J., where the president is spending the week.
{mosads}”I’m proud to be an AMERICAN, especially w/this man leading our country! One of the greatest days of my life! Thx you for a great day #potus #dad ….you are the best!” Daly tweeted.
The golfer donned American flag-themed shorts for the round, while Trump flashed a thumbs up in the photo.
Trump later responded by thanking Daly and calling him a “special guy.”

The president did not have any public events listed on his schedule for Monday.
The two men have been friends for years, and Daly endorsed Trump ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
Daly is a controversial player who has struggled with gambling and alcohol away from the golf course. He won the 1991 PGA Championship and 1995 Open Championship.
