Watchdog: White House staffer, ex-GSA official had sex on agency’s rooftop

An internal report by the General Services Administration (GSA) inspector general revealed that a now-former associate administrator drank in his office and had sex with a White House staffer on the agency’s rooftop, an NBC News affiliate reported Wednesday.

NBC 4 Washington said the report, obtained in a Freedom of Information Act request, details how GSA official Brennan Hart, a Trump appointee, told investigators he escorted a White House staffer to his office after hours on July 1, 2017, and then poured drinks from a bottle of vodka he kept in his desk.

{mosads}The two engaged in sexual activity in the building near Hart’s office and later on the rooftop, NBC 4 reported, citing the inspector general report.

“He said their sexual activity began in the Administrator suite area and culminated with oral sex on the rooftop of the Central Office,” the report said, according to NBC 4.

The White House staffer’s name was reportedly redacted from the report.

Hart left the agency in March 2018, just weeks after the inspector general reportedly interviewed him about the allegations, according to NBC 4. He now works at Three Rivers Solutions LLC, a firm that he launched after leaving the GSA.

Hart did not immediately respond to requests for comment from The Hill. A GSA spokeswoman confirmed that Hart had left the agency last year, but would not confirm whether he resigned or was fired while adding that the agency does not tolerate “misuse of government property.”

“GSA does not tolerate inappropriate use of alcohol in the workplace or any violation of government regulations regarding alcohol,” she said. “Further, GSA does not tolerate the misuse of government property by any GSA employee.”
