Fox’s Napolitano: Trump already confessed to a crime
Judge Andrew Napolitano, Fox News’s senior judicial analyst, told Fox News host Shepard Smith Tuesday night that President Trump committed a crime when he admitted pushing Ukrainian government leaders to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden.
“It is a crime for the president to solicit aid for his campaign from a foreign government,” Napolitano told Smith.
Not long after Napolitano said his piece, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) called for the start of an official impeachment inquiry at a press conference Tuesday evening.
“The president must be held accountable,” Pelosi said in the press conference. “No one is above the law.”
Wednesday, the Trump administration, as promised by Trump through a tweet Tuesday afternoon, released the transcript of his conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, although many Democrats have called for the entire whistleblower report on the conversation be released as well.
