Biden accuses Trump of asking Ukraine to ‘manufacture lies’ about him

Former Vice President Joe Biden hit back at President Trump on Sunday, accusing him of asking Ukraine to “manufacture lies” about him.

“In my experience, asking a foreign government to manufacture lies about your domestic political opponent is not “done all the time,” Biden tweeted

Biden’s post came in response to the president’s tweet from Friday that said asking foreign governments for help is “done all the time.”

The House has opened up an impeachment inquiry against Trump following revelations that the president asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to look into Biden and his son Hunter. The president’s ask came days after he withheld military aid from the country.

{mosads}The president has insisted this was not a quid pro quo agreement, and the request was to uncover corrupt actions by Biden and his son. The former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said Biden’s son did not violate Ukrainian law.
