The White House held its daily press briefing at Monday afternoon.
The briefing was expected to be dominated by questions about Hurricane Milton and the first anniversary of the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel. Milton was upgraded to Category 5 status Monday as it heads toward Florida.
President Biden, who made a surprise appearance at the daily briefing Friday, has already declared an emergency in Florida ahead of Milton’s arrival.
