Kellyanne Conway calls for violent Capitol protesters to ‘just STOP’
Former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway joined other Trump administration alumni and elected Republicans in calling for an end to the violent breach of the Capitol by crowds of Trump supporters.
“STOP. Just STOP. Peace. Law and Order. Safety for All,” Conway tweeted Wednesday afternoon as the Capitol locked down after supporters of the president entered the building while protesting a vote to certify the election of President-elect Joe Biden.

Demonstrators engaged in violent clashes with police and at least one person has been reported shot and seriously injured.
Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) has imposed a 6 p.m. curfew for the city.
Conway is one of several pro-Trump figures who has condemned the violence, including Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) and Vice President Pence, who was rushed out of the Capitol by the Secret Service earlier Wednesday.
President Trump, who earlier in the day spoke the crowd on Capitol Hill and repeated unsubstantiated claims of widespread voter fraud in the presidential election, tweeted for the demonstrators to “remain peaceful” later in the afternoon.
