Vice President Pence’s daughter Charlotte Pence Bond tweeted congratulations to President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on Thursday after Congress certified their electoral win Wednesday night.

“Congratulations to President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris,” she tweeted.

She confirmed that she was in the Capitol with second lady Karen Pence when the riots broke out on Wednesday. Bond is close with her family and has been seen with the vice president and second lady on trips throughout Trump’s presidency.

She also never left the Capitol when the violence broke out and tweeted: “We never left the Capitol. Mobs do not win.”

President Trump attacked his vice president on Twitter on Wednesday after Pence announced he would not interfere with certifying the electoral votes, saying the former Indiana governor didn’t have the “courage” to stick up for the country.

Trump has now been suspended from Twitter for his video during the riots peddling disputed claims of election fraud and calling rioters “special.”

After the riot at the Capitol, many lawmakers are calling for Pence to enact the 25th Amendment and remove Trump from office. Pence has not tweeted since after the riots Wednesday.
