Poll: Biden handling of coronavirus keys positive approval rating
President Biden has a majority positive approval rating over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, a poll by CNBC All-America Economic Survey shows.
Biden received a 62 percent approval rating for his handling of the coronavirus as millions in the U.S. have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
The president also found a 47 percent approval rating for his overall job in office and a 46 percent approval rating for his handling of the economy.
Biden is struggling most among the public on immigration, with only 29 percent of respondents approving of his approach to the issue and 52 percent disapproving.
His handling of the coronavirus has been consistently applauded by Americans with another poll showing 73 percent of people approved of the way he is navigating the pandemic.
Many states, however, are beginning to loosen their restrictions, including mask mandates and capacity limits on restaurants and other events, even as the administration warns it’s too soon for such moves.
Health officials caution that citizens should not celebrate too soon, though many are hopeful that as millions are getting vaccination, the country will soon return to a pre-pandemic normal.
