Bidens to meet with Carters during Georgia trip
President Biden and first lady Jill Biden will meet Thursday with former President Carter and former first lady Rosalynn Carter during a previously announced trip to Georgia.
The Bidens, who were already scheduled to travel to Atlanta for a drive-in rally, will also stop in Plains, Ga., to meet with the Carters, White House press secretary Jen Psaki tweeted.

Former President Carter, 96, and Rosalynn Carter, 93, are the oldest living former president and first lady. The two did not attend President Biden’s inauguration in January but have since received their coronavirus vaccines and returned to in-person church services in Georgia in February.
President Biden served in the Senate representing Delaware when former President Carter served his one term in the White House from 1977 to 1981.
The Bidens will be in Georgia on Thursday for a drive-in rally with supporters to mark the president’s 100th day in office. The trip to the battleground state will come one day after the president outlines his agenda during a speech to a joint session of Congress.
