Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) on Wednesday earned the endorsement of the Operative Plasterers’ and Cement Masons’ International Association (OPCMIA), a union representing about 45,000 workers.
{mosads}OPCMIA President Pat Finley said that the former first lady is the right leader to “turn around the economy” and help the middle class.
“She has a clear record fighting for working families, and is the strongest candidate to go toe-to-toe with John McCain in November,” Finley added.
It is the first endorsement Clinton has received from a national union in more than two months, according to a list of supporters on her campaign website.
“I am honored to have the support of the hard-working men and women of the Operative Plasterers' and Cement Masons' International Association,” Clinton said. “It’s time America’s working families had a partner in the White House.”
