McAuliffe: Bill Clinton is ‘ready to go’ for Obama
Terry McAuliffe, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s (D-N.Y.) campaign manager and a friend of Bill Clinton's, said the former president is ready to work “24/7” to make sure Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) will be the next occupant of the White House.
{mosads}“Listen, nobody likes to lose. But you know what? We’ve all moved on,” McAuliffe said on MSNBC. “Hillary has said we've got to go forward. So he [Bill Clinton] is ready to go. He will, as I say, he will go out every single day in the fall campaign, if that’s what they require him to do.”
There have been questions raised regarding whether the relationship between Bill Clinton and Obama is strained, but McAuliffe noted that “people who say that don’t know Bill Clinton.”
“You don't always win. But winning the general election is the most important thing,” McAuliffe added. “And that’s how Hillary feels. That’s how Bill Clinton feels. You know — they’re ready to go.”
