GOP rep: Trump Cabinet will have women in top positions

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) said Monday that President-elect Donald Trump will have “a diverse Cabinet” that will include women in top positions.

{mosads}“I am not sure who that first woman is going to be, but I know that you’re going to see one,” Blackburn told CNN’s “New Day.”

The congresswoman said Cabinet picks should match the goals of an administration.

“Mr. Trump is going to have women that are in those top levels of responsibility. He’s going to have women that know how to work this process to get things done to achieve the goals and to deliver the product the American people want.”

Trump last week picked Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) as his attorney general nominee and picked Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn as his national security adviser. He also nominated Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.) to serve as CIA director.

The president-elect previously appointed Stephen Bannon as his chief strategist and Reince Priebus as his chief of staff.
