Spicer to headline GOP fundraiser in Rhode Island

White House press secretary Sean Spicer will headline a Republican fundraiser in his home state of Rhode Island next weekend, according to a television station in Providence.

WPRI, citing an invitation from state GOP officials, reports that a minimum $250 contribution is required to attend the Sunday evening event, which will take place at an undisclosed location.

Donors who contribute at least $1,000 will gain access to a VIP-only reception before the main fundraiser, the station added.

Spicer, formerly the chief strategist and director of communications for the Republican National Committee, is a native of Barrington, R.I.
