Eric Trump on father’s alertness: ‘The whole world knows his toughness’

Eric Trump defended his father’s stamina in a Sunday interview, even as the former president remains stuck in a New York courtroom instead of on the campaign trail.

In an interview on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” Maria Bartiromo noted that former President Trump — who is on trial for 34 alleged crimes in New York — will have one day off this coming week to campaign, “but he has been unable to do the kind of campaigning that President Biden is doing.”

Eric Trump confirmed his father will be traveling to swing states on his day off, adding, “He’s going all over the place. And his stamina, Maria, I have never seen anything like it in my life. I mean, I have just never seen it.”

“He will be in trial all day long … only to step out and go to events at bodegas and wake up and speak to union workers and go to Michigan and go to Pennsylvania and go to Ohio and go to all the other swing states,” Eric Trump said about his father.

“The guy is really a remarkable human being, and I love him to death, and I’m proud of him. And I think the whole world knows his backbone and his toughness, and it’s exactly who we need behind the Resolute Desk in Washington, D.C. It’s the exact person we need in the Oval Office,” he added.

Trump currently faces 34 criminal counts of falsifying business records in connection to reimbursements to his ex-fixer, Michael Cohen, who paid adult film star Stormy Daniels $130,000 to stay quiet about an alleged affair she had with the former president ahead of the 2016 election. It is the first of four criminal trials Trump will face.
