Trump leads Biden by 4 points in Pennsylvania survey

Former President Trump leads President Biden by 4 points in a Pennsylvania survey of the November election released Tuesday.

The former president received 49 percent of support in the poll compared to Biden’s 45 percent. Trump’s lead grows to double digits when voters older than 50 were surveyed, with him amassing 52 percent while Biden got 42 percent.

Biden fared better with voters aged 18-49, taking a 3-point lead over his 2020 general election rival. The president got 48 percent support while Trump had 45 percent.

When the candidate field is expanded to include Green Party and Libertarian Party candidates, Trump gets back on top, leading Biden by 5 points.

In that setting, Trump got 46 percent. Biden received 41 percent, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein, who ran for the Oval Office in 2016, got 5 percent.

In a recent CBS poll of various battleground states, Trump had a slight edge over Biden in the Keystone State, leading the incumbent by 1 point. Trump got 50 percent while Biden received 49 percent.

Nationally, both candidates are virtually tied in The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s aggregate of polls. Biden and Trump both stand at 44.8 percent with six months before Election Day.

The poll surveyed 1,398 Pennsylvania voters April 24-30 with a 4-point margin of error.
