Donald Glover, also known by his stage name Childish Gambino, is joining Andrew Yang’s Democratic presidential primary campaign as a “creative consultant,” Yang’s campaign said Thursday.
The announcement comes after Glover and Yang released collaborative merchandise at a one-time pop-up store in Los Angeles earlier in the day.
“At the pop-up store in downtown Los Angeles, supporters were able to purchase limited and signed editions of Yang2020 merchandise designed by Glover’s team, including sweatshirts, hats, and posters,” Yang’s campaign said.
Yang will participate in Thursday night’s Democratic primary debate at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
