Editors note: The Hill took down a story, published Tuesday, about Starbucks and the Republican National Convention. It did not meet our editorial standards, and we regret the error.

Starbucks is providing in-kind support to the Republican National Convention’s Milwaukee 2024 Host Committee in the form of on-site coffee for first responders at the convention, Starbucks spokesperson Jaci Anderson said. The company is similarly partnering with the host committee for the Democratic National Convention next month in Chicago.

The company’s donations are nonpartisan.

2024 Election Coverage

The Milwaukee 2024 Host Committee is a bipartisan entity that has worked with the city to produce the Republican convention, according to its website.

The company is “not providing a cash sponsorship of any kind,” Anderson said.

“Our support of first responders and volunteers at the conventions is an extension of our ongoing commitment to the communities where we operate — which includes Milwaukee and Chicago,” she said.
