Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.), Vice President Harris’s running mate, will launch his first solo fundraising swing this week, a Harris-Walz campaign official first confirmed to The Hill.
Walz will start the swing through five states Tuesday with a trip to Newport Beach, Calif.
He will then travel to Denver and Boston on Wednesday before moving on to Newport, R.I., and South Hampton, N.Y., on Thursday, the campaign official told The Hill.
He is set to headline his first solo event for the campaign with an appearance before the labor group AFSCME on Tuesday at its convention in Los Angeles before he goes to Newport Beach to fundraise.
The solo travel for Walz follows the battleground state tour he took with Harris, which included events in Michigan and Wisconsin.
Walz’s solo travel to California, Harris’s home state, comes after the vice president held a fundraiser Sunday in San Francisco, alongside former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), and raised more than $12 million.
The Harris campaign raised $36 million in the 24 hours after she announced Walz as her running mate.
