Trump to visit Georgia on Monday in aftermath of Hurricane Helene
Former President Trump will visit Georgia on Monday for a briefing on the damage from Hurricane Helene, his campaign said.
Trump will visit a furniture store in Valdosta that was destroyed in the storm. He is expected to meet with local officials, help distribute relief supplies and deliver remarks, his campaign said.
The former president spent the weekend campaigning in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, two battleground states. Georgia is another pivotal swing state in November’s election and one Trump lost in 2020 by a narrow margin.

Hurricane Helene made landfall Thursday in Florida as a Category 4 hurricane, bringing with it devastating winds and rainfall. At least 91 people have been killed across several states, The Associated Press reported.
Vice President Harris, the Democratic nominee in November’s election, is cutting her west coast campaign swing short and returning Monday to Washington for a briefing on the storm at the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s headquarters.
Harris is expected to visit affected areas once it is feasible and doesn’t put a strain on emergency services, a White House official said.
