Harris campaign unveils ad featuring ex-aides warning about ‘danger’ of Trump

Vice President Harris’s campaign on Monday unveiled a new ad that features former aides from President Trump’s administration, warning that another term with him in the White House would be dangerous.

The 30-second ad entitled “Enemy Within” features Olivia Troye, ex-national security adviser to former Vice President Mike Pence, and Kevin Carroll, a former Trump Homeland Security official, who are both outspoken Trump critics backing Harris.

“The second term would be worse,” Carroll said in the ad. “There will be no one to stop his worst instincts. Unchecked power. No guardrails. If we elect Trump again, we are in terrible danger.”

The ad features Trump saying that there are dangerous people who are the “enemy from within” at his Saturday rally in California and at a rally in Wisconsin earlier this month.

The campaign dropped the ad ahead of Harris’s rally in Erie, Pa., during which she is expected to warn that Trump would take extreme action against anyone who disagrees with him, a senior Harris campaign official previewed.

She is also expected to argue in her remarks that Trump is seeking unchecked power to exercise control over Americans’ lives.

Additionally, the campaign official said, Harris plans to show Pennsylvanians what Trump’s rallies are really like, after she called on Americans to watch the former president and argued that he has declined mentally and is unfit for office.
