Harris agrees with Charlamagne tha God that Trump campaign is about ‘fascism’

Vice President Harris on Tuesday agreed with radio host Charlamagne tha God when he called former President Trump’s vision one of “fascism.”

Harris, during a live radio interview from Detroit, was referring to the choice in November between her and her political rival, telling listeners they could choose either her vision, which is to move forward, or Trump’s vision.

“The other is about fascism, why can’t we just say that?” Charlamagne tha God interjected.

“Yes, we can say that,” Harris responded.

Trump’s campaign quickly responded on social platform X to condemn the rhetoric, suggesting it was the kind that led to political violence.

“This is the type of disgusting rhetoric that led to two assassination attempts against President Trump,” the Trump team said.

“Kamala Harris’ extreme liberal policies are very unpopular with the American people. During the interview she proposed imposing reparations which could cost the US $10 trillion to $12 trillion,” Janiyah Thomas, Team Trump Black media director, told The Hill in a statement.

“Kamala Harris joined Charlamagne to lie through her teeth about President Trump’s accomplishments. 61% of Black voters think the country’s on the wrong track. In Kamala’s America, Black Americans know that we come last — after illegal immigrants, the war in Ukraine and now in the Middle East,” Thomas added.

Harris’s interview with the influential radio host comes as she’s embarking on a media blitz in the weeks before Election Day that includes one focused in particular on Black voters.

Harris is fielding questions from Charlamagne as well as from his audience both on the phone and in the studio.

The notion of comparing Trump’s campaign with that of facism has been reiterated before.

Most recently, former Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair and retired Gen. Mark Milley has called Trump “a total fascist,” telling journalist Bob Woodward that the former president is “a fascist to the core,” according to excerpts from Woodward’s forthcoming book “War.”

Harris on Monday also hit Trump for his recent suggestion that they use the National Guard or the military on Election Day to combat what he described as potential chaos from people who aren’t his supporters.

“Donald Trump is increasingly unstable and unhinged, and he is out for unchecked power, that’s what he’s looking for,” Harris said at a Pennsylvania rally. “He wants to send the military after American citizens.”
