Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Harris and her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz arrive at a campaign rally, Aug. 7, 2024, in Romulus, Mich.

The Harris campaign on Friday launched a series of ads specifically aimed at winning over young male voters, including a first-time political ad on the sports betting platform DraftKings.

The Harris campaign announced it would run digital ads on Yahoo Sports, which has 405 million monthly views and a predominantly male audience, as well as DraftKings, which has about 18 million monthly website visitors in the U.S., most of whom are men between the age of 35-44.

The campaign said it was also running ads on mobile video games and sites like IGN and Fandom. In addition, the campaign announced a series of ads that feature NBA legend Magic Johnson, actor Ben Stiller and media personality Greg Miller making the case for Vice President Harris.

Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), recently have ramped up their media presence to reach male voters, in particular.

Harris appeared this week on “The Breakfast Club” with Charlamagne tha God and in recent weeks went on the “All The Smoke” podcast with former NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. Walz on Friday sat for an interview with the “Rich Eisen Show,” which has a largely male audience.

Both the Harris campaign and former President Trump’s campaign have worked to appeal to male voters ahead of Election Day. Trump has gone on podcasts popular with young men and attended football games and UFC fights.

A Marist poll of likely voters published Wednesday found Harris leading Trump by 5 percentage points nationally. The poll showed Trump leading Harris by 6 percentage points among men who are likely to vote, 53 percent to 47 percent.
