Biden calls Fox News correspondent Doocy ‘one-horse pony’ after Hunter Biden question

President-elect Joe Biden called Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy a “one-horse pony” after he asked a question about reporting over the federal investigation into his son Hunter Biden.

“Mr. President-elect, do you still think that the stories from the fall about your son Hunter were Russian disinformation and a smear campaign like you said?” Doocy asked as the president-elect wrapped up taking questions from reporters in Wilmington, Del., on Tuesday.

“Yes, yes, yes. God love you, man. You’re a one-horse pony,” Biden replied as he made his way offstage. “I promise you my Justice Department will be totally on its own, making its judgments about how they should proceed.”

Biden told reporters on Tuesday that he has not discussed the federal probe into his son with any of his attorney general candidates.

“I guarantee you I am going to do what I said,” he said. “The attorney general of the United States of America is not the president’s lawyer.”

“I will appoint someone who I expect to enforce the law as the law is written, not guided by me,” he added.

Hunter Biden said earlier this month that the U.S. attorney’s office in Delaware is investigating his tax affairs. Reports suggest that the probe is focusing on his business dealings.

The president-elect has said repeatedly that the Justice Department will be independent and not influenced by politics.
