WHIP COUNT: House lawmakers’ positions on GOP’s ‘Plan B’

House Republicans are trying to pass Speaker John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) so-called Plan B bill on the fiscal cliff, a measure that would partially avoid the cliff by making permanent tax rates on annual income up to $1 million.

{mosads}Republicans can afford only 24 defections if every Democrat votes no. Democratic leadership is whipping against the bill, though it remains unclear if the entire Democratic Caucus will oppose it. The bill is expected to hit the House floor on Thursday.
