Ryan postpones press conference twice amid health vote confusion
Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) postponed his scheduled weekly press conference twice on Thursday amid chaos over the timing of a House vote on the GOP’s plan to repeal and replace ObamaCare.
The GOP healthcare proposal was scheduled for a House vote Thursday, the seventh anniversary of ObamaCare becoming a law. But without the votes needed to pass — according to The Hill’s updated whip list, 32 GOP lawmakers are currently no votes — floor action has been delayed.

Ryan has been meeting with fellow House Republicans who oppose the healthcare plan in an attempt to convince them to support the bill.
Ryan’s press conference, which was originally slated to happen at 11:30 a.m., was rescheduled to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, before then being postponed indefinitely with the “timing to be announced.”
