Georgia Dem fires back at ‘misinformed’ Trump
Jon Ossof fired back at President Trump on Monday after the president painted the Democratic congressional candidate as a “super liberal.”
“While I’m glad the President is interested in the race, he is misinformed,” Ossoff said in a statement, according to multiple reports.
“I’m focused on bringing fresh leadership, accountability, and bipartisan problem solving to Washington to cut wasteful spending and grow metro Atlanta’s economy into the Silicon Valley of the South.”

{mosads}Trump on Monday blasted Ossoff as a “super liberal” who wants to “protect criminals, allow illegal immigration and raise taxes.”
The president’s tweet comes a day before a Georgia special election to fill the congressional seat vacated by Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price.
Democrats are looking to steal a traditionally red seat as proof that voters don’t agree with the president’s policies or direction.
Ossoff, who is the clear Democratic favorite in the election, is facing a crowded field of Republicans in the Georgia race.
Republicans have criticized Ossoff for his national security credentials and have framed him as someone who will fall in line with party leadership.
