Maxine Waters: ‘I’ve never seen anybody as disgusting or as disrespectful’ as Trump

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) in an interview published Sunday blasted President Trump as “disgusting” and “disrespectful.”

During an interview in the Los Angeles Times, Waters referenced the president’s comments about his former presidential campaign rivals Carly Fiorina and Hillary Clinton.

She also cited the 2005 tape that surfaced last year in which Trump is heard making lewd comments about sexually assaulting women and the instance during his campaign when the president appeared to mock a disabled reporter.

“I can’t get it out of my head,” she said.

Waters said some people see her as a “rabble-rouser” and others view her as someone who “does not care about what other people think about me.”

“Some people see me as someone who makes other people look bad. … I often get a feeling most people don’t know who I am, or have a clue, and I live with that,” Waters said. “I don’t try to prove anything by talking.”

Waters has emerged as a frequent critic of the president. 

During an interview last week, she said: “Don’t forget, you can’t trust this president.”

“When he comes out with one thing, he’ll change the next day,” she told Yahoo News last week.
