GOP congresswoman condemns Trump tweet: ‘This is not okay’
A GOP congresswoman on Thursday condemned President Trump for attacking the appearance of an MSNBC host.
“This is not okay. As a female in politics I am often criticized for my looks. We should be working to empower women,” Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-Kan.) tweeted.

Trump delivered a personal and graphic broadside against “Morning Joe” host Mika Brzezinski on Thursday morning, suggesting that she was “bleeding badly from a face-lift” during a visit to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in December.
He also referred to her as “low I.Q. Crazy Mika” and attacked her co-host Joe Scarborough as “Psycho Joe.”

While the president frequently uses Twitter to launch tirades against individuals and news outlets that he sees as critical of his administration, the tweets against Brzezinski had a personal tone.
Trump has been criticized for his attacks on women’s appearances in the past.
As a presidential candidate, for example, Trump came under fire for his past treatment of former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, whom he reportedly called “Miss Piggy” and “Miss Housekeeping.”
