House Republican ‘looking forward to having Kid Rock in Congress’

Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wis.) says he’s looking forward to having Kid Rock in Washington.

“Looking forward to having @KidRock in Congress to help #MAGA The GOP cloak room will never be the same,” Duffy wrote Friday on Twitter.

The musician, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, has been hinting at a possible challenge to Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) in 2018, saying in a post on his website in July that he was “exploring” a run.

He has also sold T-shirts bearing a campaign logo, reading “Kid Rock for Senate.”

Ritchie has been a vocal ally of President Trump, and even visited the White House earlier this year alongside former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and musician Ted Nugent.
