Pelosi: This is the week Trump ‘went rogue’
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said on Sunday that President Trump “went rogue” last week, slamming his executive order on ObamaCare and announcement about the Iran nuclear deal.
“I think that this week, the week of Friday the 13th, is the week that President Trump went rogue,” Pelosi told ABC’s “This Week.”
“He went rogue on women’s health in particular.”
{mosads}Pelosi’s comments come after President Trump last Thursday signed an executive order designed to increase competition and choice after Republicans on Capitol Hill failed to repeal ObamaCare. The administration also killed key payments to health insurers.
Earlier this month, the Trump administration rolled back an Obama-era mandate that required employers to provide coverage of birth control in health insurance plans.
“But we’re moving from one thing to the next because that’s the chaos that is — exists in the in White House right now,” Pelosi added.
“Maybe he’s being ill-advised, I don’t know. But I do know that when he speaks, he does not speak from the basis of knowledge.”
Trump last week also declared that the Iran nuclear deal is no longer in the United States’ national security interest. The president detailed a new Iran strategy in a speech, though he did not withdraw from the nuclear accord.
