Schiff: Flynn plea ‘very significant’

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, said Sunday that former national security adviser Michael Flynn’s guilty plea is “very significant.”

In an interview with ABC News’s “This Week,” Schiff said special counsel Robert Mueller “must have concluded that he was getting a lot of value” out of Flynn’s cooperation with the probe.

{mosads}“So I think this is very significant. I think the fact that in his factual basis for the plea he sets out that he wasn’t acting as a rogue agent,” Schiff told George Stephanopoulos.

Schiff’s comments come after Flynn last week pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his conversations with the Russian ambassador to the U.S.

“And I think it indicates, to me at least, that this is not the end of it by any means,” the congressman added.

Schiff said he believes Flynn will incriminate other members of the administration, but said he does not know if the probe will move all the way up to Trump.
