Schiff fires back after Sanders says White House is not ‘concerned’ with him
House Intelligence Committee ranking member Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) shot back at White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders for saying during Tuesday’s press briefing that the administration tries “never to be concerned” with him.
“If you’re not concerned, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, why won’t the President agree to an interview with Bob Mueller?” Schiff tweeted.
If you’re not concerned, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, why won’t the President agree to an interview with Bob Mueller? His protestations of “no collusion, no obstruction” would be more convincing if he wasn’t trying to dodge answering questions under oath. https://t.co/Hl87a3Fp8b

Sanders’s comments were in response to a reporter’s question about the leaked questions that special counsel Robert Mueller reportedly planned to ask President Trump in the Russia investigation.
{mosads}Schiff had pointed out that the questions appear to indicate that Mueller is largely focused on obstruction of justice.
Sanders responded to a reporter’s question about Schiff’s comments, saying, “We here at the White House try never to be concerned with anything dealing with Adam Schiff.”
Schiff has butted heads with Trump repeatedly, prompting Trump to call him a “leaker” and a “liar” on twitter.
Trump has suggested that he would be open to meeting with Mueller for an interview. Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R), who recently joined Trump’s legal team, reportedly met with Mueller last month to discuss details of a possible sit-down.
