CNN signs ex-Obama spokesperson Jen Psaki

A former White House communications director and State Department spokesperson under President Obama has joined CNN as a contributor.

Jen Psaki made her debut on Tuesday, appearing on prime-time programs “Anderson Cooper 360” and “CNN Tonight” to provide pre- and post-debate analysis of a town-hall event featuring Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas). 

CNN has been stocking up on political analysts since President Trump’s election as the network increases its focus on politics.

{mosads}In January, CNN announced the signing of former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) as a political commentator, along with former Rep. Steve Israel (D-N.Y.), former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm (D) and The Washington Post’s David Fahrenthold, Abby Phillip and Wesley Lowery.

J.D. Vance of National Review and Selena Zito of the Washington Examiner were also signed. 

Psaki, 38, served as John Kerry’s deputy press secretary during his presidential run in 2004 and as Obama’s traveling press secretary during the 2008 presidential campaign.
