NFL recovers Tom Brady jersey from member of media

Tom Brady’s missing jerseys from the 2015 and 2017 Super Bowl have been found in the possession of a “credentialed member of the international media,” the NFL said Monday.

“The Super Bowl LI jersey worn last month by MVP Tom Brady has been recovered,” the NFL’s statement read. “Also retrieved during the ongoing investigation was the jersey Brady wore in the Patriots’ victory in Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks in 2015.

“The items were found in the possession of a credentialed member of the international media,” the statement adds. “Due to the ongoing investigation, we would refer any additional questions to the FBI.”

The jersey Brady wore during a stunning comeback over the Atlanta Falcons in Houston last month is valued at approximately $500,000, according to a report filed by Houston police.

Houston police chief Art Acevedo tweeted that the jersey Brady wore in Houston was found in Mexico.

The New England Patriots quarterback said in February he realized the jersey was missing after returning to the Patriots’ locker room following post-game media obligations.
