Fox News announces new show in scheduling shakeup: ‘The Fox News Specialists’

Fox News will debut “The Fox News Specialists” on May 1 with co-hosts Eric Bolling, Katherine Timpf and Eboni K. Williams at 5 p.m. ET as it looks to fill scheduling gaps created by former host Bill O’Reilly’s stunning departure.

The ensemble program will replace “The Five.” Bolling has served as co-host of “The Five” since its inception in 2011, with that program moved to 9 p.m. ET this week.

“Each night, ‘The FOX News Specialists’ will feature Bolling, Timpf and Williams alongside two special guest experts to discuss the top stories driving the headlines of the day,” said Suzanne Scott, executive vice president of programming, in a Friday announcement.

Bolling, a former panelist on CNBC’s “Fast Money,” will continue to be the host of “Cashin’ In” on Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Fox signed Timpf as a contributor 2015. She provides commentary on “The Greg Gutfeld Show,” which airs weekly on Saturday evenings. She’s also a writer for National Review.

Williams, a former CBS News correspondent and contributor to The Hill, also joined Fox in 2015 as a contributor and occasionally appears on “Outnumbered” and “The Five.”

“Eric, Katherine and Eboni’s diverse opinions and backgrounds will provide our audience with an hour of informative and entertaining analysis on daily stories that are most important to Americans,” said Scott.

“The combination of the co-hosts’ expertise in business, millennial and legal topics, respectively, will make for lively and compelling discourse.”

Fox has made several changes to its schedule in the wake of O’Reilly’s exit with the network amid sexual harassment allegations, including moving Tucker Carlson’s show to 8 p.m. ET.
