NBC’s Megyn Kelly to interview Putin in Russia: report

NBC’s Megyn Kelly will travel to Russia to interview President Vladimir Putin during an economic forum early next month, according to a Tuesday report.

The New York Post says the former Fox News star will moderate a session interviewing Putin during the annual St. Petersburg International Economic Forum starting June 1.

“This is a great way for Megyn to get an inside track and land the big one-on-one interview with President Putin,” a source told The Post’s “Page Six.”

{mosads}Kelly, 46, left Fox News in January after being the highest-rated female host in cable news in prime time for three years. She turned down a $100 million offer to stay with the network.

The wife and mother of three young children cited a preference to be home with her family after school and in the evening. Kelly reportedly took millions less to go to NBC.

The former attorney will host two shows for NBC News.

Kelly’s yet-to-be-named Sunday night news magazine show will start in June, while a 9 a.m. news discussion program will start in the fall.
