Trump aide: ‘#DumbAsARockMika and lover #JealousJoe’ are sad president won’t return calls

White House social media director Dan Scavino tore into Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough on Twitter Thursday morning, saying the “Morning Joe” co-hosts are “lost, confused & saddened” because President Trump won’t return their calls. 

“#DumbAsARockMika and lover #JealousJoe are lost, confused & saddened since @POTUS @realDonaldTrump stopped returning their calls!” Scavino wrote on Twitter. “Unhinged.”

The attack on the morning shows hosts came shortly before Trump launched an attack of his own on Brzezinski and Scarborough.

In a pair of tweets, the president dubbed Brzezinski as “low I.Q. Crazy Mika” and Scarborough as “Psycho Joe,” before saying that Brzezinski was “bleeding badly from a face-lift” during a visit to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida late last year. 

Scarborough early this year denied that he socialized with Trump during a trip to Mar-a-Lago on New Year’s Eve, saying that he and Brzezinski had been there only to try to set up an interview with Trump.

Scavino came under fire for his use of Twitter in April after he tweeted a message to supporters urging the defeat of Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.). The Office of Special Counsel reprimanded the Trump aide for violating the Hatch Act with the tweet. The act prohibits public officials from using their offices for political activity.
