CNN offers solidarity to ‘Morning Joe’ hosts after Trump attacks
CNN on Thursday expressed support for MSNBC “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski after President Trump’s series of attacks on the hosts, including an accusation that Brzezinski was “bleeding badly from a face-lift.”
“We stand with @MSNBC’s @MorningMika and @JoeNBC,” CNN’s public relations account tweeted.

Trump earlier Thursday launched a series of insults at the MSNBC hosts, calling them “low I.Q. Crazy Mika” and “Psycho Joe” and adding that Brzezinski was “bleeding badly from a face-lift” when he saw her late last year at his Florida resort.
{mosads}Brzezinski immediately responded by posting a photo of a cereal box labeled “Made For Little Hands,” an oblique attack on the size of Trump’s hands — a frequent subject of mockery by his opponents, which many believe gets under the president’s skin.
Trump’s attacks were widely condemned by Democrats, as well as some Republicans. Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) called Trump’s tweets inappropriate, and at least three GOP senators said the insults were “beneath the dignity” of the office of the president.
A top NBC spokesman declined to even respond to Trumps insults of the “Morning Joe” hosts.
“Never imagined a day when I would think to myself, ‘it is beneath my dignity to respond to the President of the United States,'” Kornblau tweeted.
