New York Post updates its Trump ‘Survivor’ cover: ‘The tribe has spoken again’

The New York Post has updated its cover depicting President Trump’s White House as an episode of the reality TV show “Survivor” after former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci’s ouster.

“The tribe has spoken again,” read a tweet from the Post, placing a large red “X” over Scaramucci’s face.

The previous cover, released last week, followed the publication of a profanity-laced interview given by Scaramucci to The New Yorker in which he attacked former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus, calling him a “f—ing paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac” and went after chief strategist Stephen Bannon for trying to build his brand off working in the White House.

{mosads}It also followed a week of Trump attacking Attorney General Jeff Sessions, saying that he is “very disappointed” Sessions decided to recuse himself from the Justice Department’s investigation into Russian election interference. Trump added that he would never have hired Sessions if he knew he would recuse himself.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson on Fox News, Sessions said Trump’s criticisms of him were “hurtful.”

Scaramucci was abruptly ousted from his position on Monday, just 10 days after stepping into the role and hours after former Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly was sworn in as the new White House chief of staff.

Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement after the news broke that “[Scaramucci] felt it was best to give chief of staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team.”
