CNN to host town hall featuring Nancy Pelosi
CNN this week announced a third town hall event featuring House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
The event will provide a public forum for voters to question Pelosi.
The Oct. 4 event will be moderated by “New Day” anchor Chris Cuomo from Washington, D.C.
{mosads}”Amid new revelations in the ongoing Russia probe, Leader Pelosi will take voters questions following the highly-publicized agreement with President Donald Trump on the federal budget and debt ceiling and just one week after Senate Republicans failed to repeal and replace Obamacare,” according to a network announcement.
“Pelosi will discuss these and other major issues facing the nation with Cuomo and take questions from a live studio audience during the 60-minute town all event,” it continued.
Previous 2017 CNN town halls have included Pelosi, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), a Democratic leadership debate and a debate between Sanders and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), former Vice President Al Gore, and most recently on Monday a health-care debate between Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and Sanders.
Pelosi was previously featured in CNN town hall events in January, shortly after Trump took office, and in May.
