S.E. Cupp scolds Michelle Obama for ‘condescending gender imperialism’
Conservative commentator S.E. Cupp scolded former first lady Michelle Obama Thursday night, calling her comments that women betrayed themselves by not voting for Hillary Clinton, “condescending gender imperialism” and “disgusting.”
The commentary comes after Obama said at a conference in Boston on Wednesday that “any woman who voted against Hillary Clinton voted against their own voice.”
“That we look at those two candidates, as women, and many of us said, ‘He’s better for me. His voice is more true to me.’ To me that just says, you don’t like your voice. You like the thing you’re told to like,” Obama said.
Cupp slammed Obama over the statements during her new HLN program “Unfiltered.”

Cupp also compared Obama’s remarks to those of former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, who said during the 2016 election that there was a “special place in hell” for women who didn’t vote for Clinton.
