Former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson is praising the women who are coming forward to level sexual harassment allegations against longtime Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, saying they give her “hope.”

“The horrific sexual harassment revelations this past week about Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein actually give me hope — that women standing up and saying ‘We’re not going to take it anymore,’ it’s working,” Carlson said on “CBS Sunday Morning.”

{mosads}Carlson filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against then-Fox News CEO Roger Ailes in 2016. Ailes later stepped down as chairman and the parent company of Fox News, 21st Century Fox, reportedly reached a settlement with Carlson in September for about $20 million.

The former “Fox & Friends” co-host, who is now an activist, said on Sunday women in the U.S. are “at a national tipping point, with more and more women bravely coming forward.”

“As the allegations against Harvey Weinstein remind us, when one woman speaks up, titans fall,” she continued.

More than two dozen women have accused Weinstein of sexual assault and harassment in recent days, including prominent actresses such as Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rose McGowan and Ashley Judd.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences also ousted the veteran Hollywood producer.

In his first public appearance since the reports surfaced, Weinstein told reporters last week that “we all make mistakes.”
