Fallon praises Florida school shooting survivors for speaking out, vows to march with them in DC

Jimmy Fallon late Monday praised the Florida school shooting survivors who have become vocal advocates for gun control.

Fallon said during his show that since the shooting, the Parkland, Fla. students have been “unbelievable.”

“They’re speaking out with more guts, passion, conviction and commonsense than most adults,” he said.

{mosads}The strength the students have been exhibiting is “inspiring,” Fallon said.

“They’re angry and they’re doing something about it and creating change. This is a real revolution,” he said.

Students who survived the Florida shooting have been speaking out in recent days against gun violence, demanding that lawmakers take action to prevent another school shooting.

They have organized a march next month in Washington, D.C., to call for new gun laws — which Fallon said he plans to attend.

“I just want to say, I stand behind you guys and I will be marching alongside you with my wife and two children in D.C. to show our support,” Fallon said.

“To every one of you who is speaking out, thank you.”
