NY Post updates Trump’s ‘Survivor’ cover after Tillerson ouster
President Trump’s hometown paper mocked his administration on Twitter shortly after it was announced that he would replace Rex Tillerson as secretary of State.
The New York Post again updated its “Survivor” cover with a red “X” over Tillerson’s face.
“Another one bites the dust,” the paper tweeted.

The New York Post first published the cover depicting Trump’s White House as the reality show “Survivor” in July, featuring the faces of his top advisers and officials.

The paper has tweeted an update of the cover several times to indicate which staffers have departed the administration. The latest version features red X’s over the faces of former chief strategist Stephen Bannon, former chief of staff Reince Priebus, former communications director Anthony Scaramucci and its latest addition, Tillerson.
President Trump tweeted Tuesday morning that CIA Director Mike Pompeo will be the new secretary of State.
“He will do a fantastic job!” he tweeted. “Thank you to Rex Tillerson for his service.”
Mike Pompeo, Director of the CIA, will become our new Secretary of State. He will do a fantastic job! Thank you to Rex Tillerson for his service! Gina Haspel will become the new Director of the CIA, and the first woman so chosen. Congratulations to all!

Speculation that Tillerson would leave the administration has been mounting for months. Trump and Tillerson have publicly differed in their statements about issues like North Korea and the recent poisoning of an ex-Russian spy in the United Kingdom.
It was reported late last year that Tillerson had referred to Trump as a “moron,” prompting Trump to challenge his State Department head to an IQ test.
The move comes just after Tillerson finished a diplomatic trip to Africa and said that the U.S. is mulling a lifting the travel ban in place on Chad.
