Tom Brokaw pokes at senators over Zuckerberg hearing
NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw knocked senators on Wednesday for their questions during Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee this week.
Brokaw, 78, tweeted on Wednesday that Tuesday’s hearing with Zuckerberg showed that “most Senators think the digital age means you can still count with your fingers.”

Brokaw was referencing older members of the committee such as Sens. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa).

The hearing has widely been criticized for the senators’ lack of rudimentary knowledge of how Facebook and other relevant technologies operate.
Zuckerberg also appeared before the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Wednesday morning, though lawmakers have faced less criticism for their line of questioning at the second hearing.
