Megyn Kelly defends Stormy Daniels: ‘Being an adult film star does not make you a liar’

NBC host Megan Kelly defended Stormy Daniels after President Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani said her claims against Trump couldn’t be believed because she’s an adult-film star.

“Being in adult film does not make you a liar,” Kelly said during her show “Megyn Kelly Today” on Thursday.

{mosads}Giuliani said Wednesday that he doesn’t believe Daniels when she says she had a sexual encounter with Trump because she “sells her body for sexual exploitation.”

“I respect women — beautiful women and women with value — but a woman who sells her body for sexual exploitation, I don’t respect,” Giuliani said.

Kelly, during a discussion about the comments, said she was playing “devil’s advocate” by bringing up first lady Melania Trump’s past career as a model who occasionally posed nude.

“Melania Trump is classy and gorgeous and I really admire her,” Kelly said. “But she has posed nude for GQ magazine back in 2000.”

She added: “I’m not comparing the two. Posing nude is not the same as being a porn star, but come on!”

Michael Avenatti, Daniels’s attorney, tore into Giuliani late Wednesday for his comments.

“Mr. Giuliani is an absolute pig for making those comments, he’s basically stating that women that engage in the adult-film industry and other forms of pornography don’t have reputations and are not entitled to respect,” Avenatti said during an appearance on CNN.

Avenatti also called for Giuliani to be fired over the remarks.

Giuliani also said Wednesday that the first lady believes Trump’s denials about having an affair with Daniels in 2006.

“She believes her husband and she doesn’t think it’s true,” Giuliani said of Melania Trump.

Kelly, on her show, asked her audience to respond to that claim.

“Do you believe that Melania Trump believes Donald Trump?” she asked.

She received a chorus of “no” in response.

The first lady has not publicly commented about any of the sexual misconduct allegations against her husband.

Daniels is suing President Trump and his personal lawyer Michael Cohen to nullify a $130,000 nondisclosure agreement related to the alleged affair that she signed weeks before the presidential election.
