Fox News takes jab at other cable networks for not airing Trump rally
Fox News took aim at other cable news networks on Wednesday night for not airing President Trump’s campaign rally in Duluth, Minnesota.
“Trump rally live & only on Fox News, other networks ignore presidential rally” the network’s chyron read during its broadcast of Trump’s rally.
Fox Business also aired the rally.
Both CNN and MSNBC carried on with regular programming.

As expected, the only cable newsers carrying tonight’s Trump rally are Fox News and Fox Biz. pic.twitter.com/pTvHJntg42

I don’t recall Fox doing this before. It’s running a banner that says “TRUMP RALLY LIVE & ONLY ON FOX NEWS” — subhed says “OTHER NETWORKS IGNORE PRESIDENTIAL RALLY”

Trump is well-known for his avid consumption of Fox News, often tweeting about the network’s programming. He made a surprise appearance on “Fox & Friends” Friday from the White House lawn.
Trump repeated his attacks on the press during the campaign rally, calling the media “fake news” and “very dishonest.” The crowd then broke into chants of “CNN sucks.”

The president was at the rally to support Republican candidate Pete Stauber, who shared the stage with the president for a short time.
The rally was held just hours after Trump gave in to bipartisan pressure and signed an executive order blocking the separation of immigrant families detained at the U.S.–Mexico border — a policy his administration implemented earlier this year.
